PRACTICE TEAM

A team of nurses, a health care assistant, phlebotomist and eleven staff assists the doctors in reception, secretarial, managerial, dispensing and administrative support. All staff recognise total patient confidentiality. Information from your medical record is only released on your signed consent.

Receptionists know the answer to most of your questions. Please do not hesitate to ask for help.

Nurses:  Nikki Boughen, Sue Williams, Angela Turner & Jo Wardle are able to advise you on a wide range of matters, including injections or immunisations, foreign travel, minor injuries, ear syringing, suture removal, blood pressure and urine testing. They run clinics to monitor and treat long term conditions such as asthma and diabetes, together with annual flu vaccination clinics, and can also treat and advise on minor illnesses. The nursing team is supported by Jen Martin, Health Care Assistant, and phlebotomist, Sue Taylor, offers blood tests on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings. Well man/woman clinics are also available by arrangement with your doctor.

Dispensers:  Requests for repeat medication can be accepted on a repeat medication slip (please remember to tick which medication you require), by fax or online.  To avoid transcription errors, we regret we cannot accept requests over the telephone.

Please allow 48 hours from receipt in the dispensary for your order to be processed.

PATIENT PARTICIPATION GROUP

The PPG comprises a group of patients of all ages and backgrounds, and meets four times a year, with interim email communication. The group contributes to the continuous improvement of the practice and quality of services delivered by canvassing the views of patients and providing feedback to the practice management. If you are interested in supporting the work of the PPG, please contact the Practice Manager.
