Emergencies

Out of Hours

Please call 999 if you have a life threatening medical emergency.  Care UK is the Suffolk out of hours provider for emergencies when the surgery is closed.

NHS 111 makes it easier for you to access local NHS healthcare services. You can call 111 when you need medical help fast, but it's not a 999 emergency. NHS 111 is a fast and easy way to get the right help, whatever the time.

NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones.

If you have run out of your medicines outside normal opening hours and require some urgently, there are a few ways to get an emergency supply quickly, including when you are away from home. You can telephone NHS 111, visit an NHS walk in centre or do an NHS pharmacy service search on your computer (www.nhs.uk). Alternatively, non-prescription medicines, such as paracetamol or an antacid, are readily available from all major supermarkets and petrol stations.
